Costiumes!

Yep, I am inspired by many different things. I saw some of those weird s.f. costumes and I wanted to know more about them. They are more iconic than I first though...

Eiko Ishioka costiumes:

Gustav Klimt's portraits (those dresses looks like costumes to me):

Rebekah Lea- luxury jewellery. Initially inspired by... Eiko Ishioka stylizations from The Cell film.

Papercuts, Wycinanki, Leluja

A bit of Polish folk, Wycinanki from Kurpie :

Mono-coloured decorative ornaments are called Leluja and are characteristic Kurpian and Carpathian decorations. Such papercut can be sicked to the wall or hanged in the frame as a proper picture. Round shapes are called Gwiazda (Star), and forest scenes on levels, simply Las (Forest).
Traditionally they're cut-out with scissors, that were used once for sheep shearing.

Some lovely Papercuts from my private collection, bought from this place:

In Poland there is also other type of papercuts originated from Łowicz- Wycinanka Łowiecka. It is more complex and colourful, full of layers. You can see some more examples here, here and here.
Well... I prefer simplicity:)
